HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!! I thought it would be fitting to show off this red chair today!
This clients husband had a “favorite” chair that he wanted to keep. I am not going to lie, when this chair showed up, I had my doubts! Both arms were severely torn and missing foam. I whip stitched up the one arm and put some batting on the second and whip stitched that arm as well and then added the cream fabric over the top for added stability and sewed that down by hand.
Chair—BEFORE!
Arm repair—
Chair–AFTER—- she chose a great red canvas, which sewed up beautifully! She was completely shocked when she came to pick it up—It turned out better than what she was expecting. I had enough fabric to self line the skirt–which gave it a good weight.
I did piping on the inside arm seams….just to finish it off a bit.
Front of arm
I just followed the original lines of the chair, for where to run the piping.

Hey You are Amazing! Love watching your before and after pics of your Awesome-ness Not sure if Millie mentioned, but I’m looking for scraps that can be cut into 8×8 pieces for a project we are doing in Young Womens. We will be starting in just a couple weeks. Would you set aside some for me if you have some and I’ll have millie pick them up? Hope all is well and hope training is going well
Love, Les

I’m speechless. What a transformation!
This gives me hope for my husband’s favourite chair. I’ve been staring at it thinking how ugly it is… but wow, maybe I just need to attempt a slipcover… or better yet, send it to Utah!
