My client wanted a cream duck cloth couch. Her neighbor had given her this great scrolled back english rolled arm couch, so she had a great base to start with.

Couch–AFTER
She wanted ties on the back for some extra detail.
I did a 2″ pleat ruffle around the base
SIDE NOTES—We just got back from our annual couples trip. This year we went to Sayulita, Mexico. So great to be somewhere warm for a week!
This pic was taken on the back porch of the jungle house we stayed at! AMAZING house!
While we were gone, Heber’s dad stayed a few nights with our boys and left a flash drive with some old pics from when we built our house 17 years ago…in the middle of nowhere!

Love this slipcover, Shelley. As always, you do such excellent work. ☺
Sounds like you had a super trip. I like when you share about all the amazing places you and hubby get to go. How fortunate you are! Also, thanks for the tip on the blog you found, Afford Anything, I think was the title. I have subscribed and started to read, and I am finding it very interesting. Wish I would have had access to this kind of info when I was 45, instead of almost 60. (She says with big gulp. 60??)

Love, love, love this slipcover, Shelley!! Beautiful dressmaker details that really make the piece, and those rolled arms are so appealing. Wish you could come to our house in Massachusetts to re-slipcover our old sofa (although with our sofa being from the 80’s and sagging in the middle it’s probably headed for the dumpster soon!). Really just the perfect slipcover for when you want a little personality to set off your sofa.
Hope you had a wonderful time in Mexico!
